Having come from no knowledge a year ago of how to set up a website, this year marks a milestone in my efforts.

Wordpress Project Audiobookbeat.com

My website is finally up and running. What a journey it has been. After learning how to set up a Wordpress.org website from scratch, watching Yaro Staraks, Become a Blogger tutorials, my dream of having a website to sell audio books is realized.

I found Leisure Audio Books through an article I read on Ezine Articles and clicked through to her site. Amazed at what the affiliate program offered, I enlisted as an affiliate and started learning how to set up a site to sell audio books too.

When you have more time, than money, you learn to be very creative in gaining the know-how to start from zero knowledge of anything in IM to actually creating what you set out to do.

One things for certain, most everyone I've met in the Work At Home industry, is very generous with helping anyone get their feet wet. I've been working on a long list of all the people who helped me along the way. It will read like a who's who, when all is said and done.

Now that the site is up I need to yet learn about all the Sitemap functions in Wordpress and how that all works with Google. Just installed the XML Map plugin yesterday. After activating it, I noticed there was a box for Yahoo; to also be notified of new posts to my blog; but when I saw the form to apply for an AppID, I clicked off and said, some other time. Could they make it anymore difficult to understand their process? Could they at least put some explanations next to each field, as to what everything means, that they are requesting from you?

Signed up for Google Analytics today also, was lost as to how to set up a goal and funnels, when all of my book links go directly to Leisure. They have the shopping cart and they direct the buyer to the download page after purchase is made.

Tried to understand Redirects in Cpanel and after much frustration, as to which Clickbank hoplink to redirect from and what to direct it to, I called it a day.

May be the full moon has it's grip on me, as it's been difficult to understand things today. Usually, I can grasp concepts rather easily, but today, tech stuff was flying over my head.

One day at a time, little one. One step at a time. A journey of a thousand miles, begins with the first step. Look how far you've come already! One year ago, you knew zip, zilch, nadda. Now you've got a website live on the internet. Now to make just one sale.
