This Addition is Pretty Cool

Today I added a neat little feature that allows me to spice up any keywords I want to turn into links
It's called SnapShots. Basically when your visitor mouses over a hyperlink, SnapShots shows a mini version of the link destination.
This is pretty cool because it works with YouTube videos and the reader can play the video right in the hovering SnapShot screen.
The visitor doesn't leave your site and the video doesn't take up a ton of room on your webpage.
For right now, as I am playing around with it, I have it linked to one of my stores. Totally unrelated to the keyword its attached to but it does illustrate how it works. Eventually I'll look for some related YouTube videos and attach those and some affiliate products.
YOOthemes created a SnapShots module for Joomla. You can get it free at http://tools.yootheme.com/free-stuff/yoosnapshots
There is a brief tutorial video that shows how to install and configure it. Because I am using a YOOtheme template on this site, I know the module will work. If you want to try it on your own Joomla site make sure you watch the video.
You still need a SnapShots account and you can signup for one of those at http://www.snap.com/
As of today I only have one SnapShot associated with one link on my article located at http://www.fitstartingtoday.com/dieting-tips
Tomorrow I'll add more articles and finish my silo structure. Normally it doesn't take me this long to do these tasks but other website take priority over this one. Wouldn't ya know it, as soon as I join the blogging challenge I get busy with other stuff.
Oh well, we have 30 days to work this project. I hope to start showing you some good results before the 30 days is finished.

Here's a few interesting stats - the website was installed Jan 3 and Google Indexed it Jan 4. As of today its #3 in Google for the keyword phrase, fit starting today out of 963,000 pages. Not bad for a "baby"----------------------------
