Today I didn't spend a lot of time on this website. Its not the only one I am working on and unfortunately it takes a back seat to the other projects.
But, I am doing something to it every day.

So anyway, I was tired of looking at the "bare" walls so I added an Adsense module to the Joomla site.

The nice part about this particular Adsense module is it allows you to ban...

For right now I've selected Dieting, Exercise, Nutrition, Supplements, Equipment and Mental Health as my main topics.
Using Joomla makes it very easy to change this if I want at a later date. Even if those main categories contain sub categories and articles, they can still be changed around.

I've spent a couple hours (I admit it, I was watching TV while doing it - after all its Sunday) doing some keyword research for these main topics.

Joomla has a wonderful way to load modules - its all done inside the admin
No FTP and no unzipping the files.
Just upload and the system extracts and installs.

I have some PLR videos I bought. They are kinda tacky but I'll put them up until I get something better

The site is loaded - now for all the little mundane things like changing the meta information and turning on the search engine friendly urls in the Global Configuration panel.

I've had a list of niches I've been wanting to tackle for quite some time. Since we are in a new year, I thought I'd start one.

I know the diet and fitness niche has been promoted to death so lets see if I can break into it with this new site

I love Joomla - there is a learning curve but its so versatile that I think I'll use it instead of WordPress. Besides I want to build a site for the long term and that means expansion.
Its not that Wordpress is not expandable...
