Hi Folks,
This is my first ever blog post, so I'm testing a bit of functionality while writing this at the same time. Oh well, another year gone by (and boy, did this one seem to go by quick). The hot topic of the moment seems to be the Mayan Prophecy. Hmm... gives me a thought that, as internet marketers, there's a potential killing to be made here.
Imagine that... if you were an end-of-the-world kind of guy, wouldn't you want to know what the apocalypse had in store? A couple of good books on the Mayans available on Amazon. A couple of indie/clickbank products out there too.
Maybe a forum to bring all these worried folks together is in order? Maybe even have some affiliate links to survival gear! You may laugh, but I remember Y2k and the panic and build up to it all. Actually knew a guy who stocked up on tins of beans and stuff for his family and was prepared to run for the hills at a moment's notice...
Cashing in on people's fears? Nah, but just putting my IM thinking hat on and trying to suss an opportunity out of a current event.
