Sex really sells on the internet

We all remember the revolution of the internet and how great it was to be part of something so amazing. Since then it has gone from strength to strength and many of us have earned a wonderful income from it time after time. I love the internet because it has given me the opportunity to make money online without having to put down a lot of money to get me the life that I desire. But if you want to tap into the most popular niche on the internet to make money from it has to be sex.
Yes sex really does sell above anything else on the internet. People become obsessed by it and I bet that the majority of young lads if you ask them as adults a few years down the line they will admit that the first thing they ever searched for was sex!
But as an internet marketer we come across lots of new things that make us consider how much money it can make for us. I got my shock from the sex niche recently even though I am not even part of it. My husband has several projects in the food and drink niche that he loves been part of as he is a former chef. Because we work together we are often swapping notes about what we have been doing and one of his recent websites became really entertaining recently.
He had been creating lots of content pages revolving around drink cocktails and after doing lots of keyword research settled on some really cool cocktails to choose from they included:
*Sex on the beach
*Screaming orgasm
*Black Russian
*Bloody Mary
*And so on
But guess which one got the most hits through the social media traffic?
Yes you have guessed right the one for sex on the beach got ten times more hits on Digg than any of the others. Plus it had the added benefit of having lots of online comments written about it. They were all marketed in the same way, they are all lovely cocktails that are equally popular yet sex really sells on the internet.
Think of how it can have a place in your online business because it doesn't have to be an adult site for it to relate to you as this content page has proved.
