How to use twitter to build your business

The phenomenon that is Twitter is an absolute god send for building your business and the fact that I am asked how to use twitter to build your business, time and time again, shows me that people can see that there is something that they really do need to know.
There is not a limit to how many twitter accounts you are allowed to set up so weather you already have an account or not I would recommend setting one up now in the niche that your business operates in.
You then need to find people within your niche that you would like to follow by simply clicking on the follow button next to their name.
You will find that the vast majority of people that follow you will decide to follow you back and you can then start making tweets to all of your followers.
It is extremely important that you don't spam them with comments about your business but take it nice and slowly and make tweets about what you think they may find interesting.
Then every now and again, say every 5 tweets, you can drop a tweet about what you are doing in your business and you will find that quite a few of your followers may well become potential customers.
If you take your time and offer help and advice as and when it is required you will find that to be far more productive than just going with the hard sell.
