After telling you all about my first premium domain purchase last month I am following up on it to show you how it worked for me. The domain name in question was Ebooks-Land.com. If you have read my previous Blog post you will know that I purchased it for a very small price and that it received a set amount of traffic each month.
But for starters do you really know that the traffic is real? For example it could very easily be the traffic thats been created from other people wanting to purchase it. Plus will you be able to maintain the same traffic levels in the future?
I was also concerned that the backlink wouldn’t be as successful as I would have hoped. With this in mind I just purchased one low price domain then in the future if it was successful I could have a spending spree on premium domains.
Now here is my results which I am sure will surprise you….
I have received approximately 20 hits a week from organic traffic created as a result of this domain. So I must admit that I find this purchase a complete waste of time and money. Through the internet today it is very easy to get 20 hits a day on a website so there is no point wasting your money in the future over such a small amount of traffic.
From a business prospective I am always creating new e-book products so this web address will be fantastic for my next launch and I will build up my own traffic for it.
I am not upset about it because for the same price without traffic I would gladly have paid the same figure just to secure a well named domain for the make money online niche.
