Internet Strategic Marketing Tactics: How You Should Sell To The People On Your List

The vast majority of Internet marketers today realize how significant the email list is to their marketing efforts. Undoubtedly you may have put in a great deal of time money and effort in order to grow your list. You may not be absolutely sure how to turn that list into cash flow.
It is wonderful to have a huge list of prospects, but how your offer is sold to these people is where it counts. Exactly how do you approach selling to people on your list? Precisely how often should you market your products to these prospects? What can you do to get the most profit from that list?
Here is a list of four Internet strategic marketing tactics to help you get the most profit from your e-mail list:
1. Actively sell products to your list.
It sounds strange- I know - but several marketers are afraid to sell to their prospects. Though it might seem like every message that you send to your subscribers is a marketing email, some should be very clear about the possible benefits.
Don't hesitate to tell your list if you're offering a new product, having a sale, are giving something away, or have a special limited time offer for them- they probably would like to know.
Do not be shy with your offer- acting coy or trying to hide is confusing to your prospect. Your prospects are well aware that you sell things- which usually happens to be something they are interested in. Come right out with what you are offering, show them how it would help, and give them the correct call to action.
2. Also send informative messages.
It is perfectly okay to send out sales emails, but you want to include informative emails as well. Mix it up a little bit. If you're subscribers only receive an e-mail from you when you're asking them to buy something- that's when they feel you're too aggressive.
Your subscribers will value the messages you send with the sole intent to give them information. These can be in the form of the latest news in your niche, something interesting that you stumbled across, or a list of resources.
3. Update them regularly on giveaway events, surprises, bonuses, and free gifts.
Your subscribers will love you for surprises and free stuff. This is an extremely effective Internet strategic marketing tactic, and works like magic when applied to a mailing list. Freebies can consist of PLR, a viral ebook that you made or a related freebie from a joint venture partner.
4. Use surveys to to find out what your subscribers enjoy, need, or want .
including a short survey in your messages to your prospects is a great way to discover what they are willing to buy. Deliver on their needs and that may guarantee a sale. This will not only increase the return on your efforts, but it will build trust in your prospects because they will get the feeling that you care.
Explore their interests, see if they have any problems that you can help them with, find out their opinion, even probe their minds for product ideas. This is the most accurate and productive market research you could ever do.
5. Build a trusting relationship between you and your subscribers.
If you consistently incorporate the above four Internet strategic marketing tactics, you will have automatically formed a trusting relationship with your subscribers .
This gives you as the marketer a significant amount of leverage to transform your subscribers in to repeat buyers.

I use 1 through 3 frequently, not four much, and five is what I once believed the sole purpose of a newsletter was. I was one of those people who was afraid to sell to my list. Then I think it was one of Matt Bacak's newsletters that said, don't be afraid of people unsubscribing, be glad because you want people who don't want to buy your stuff off your list!
And I remembered why I used to join lists - in the beginning, it was because it wasn't pay day yet and I was hoping they'd remind me around then so I could come back and by the thing I wanted.
Now people write to me if I don't send to my list for a while. So very important idea, that first one.Posted 01-23-2010 at 12:20 AM by Tinu
