How to Have a Best-Selling Kindle Book

My Content Curation Handbook (< Amazon link, not an affiliate link) is a best-seller at Amazon. At the moment, mine is the #1 Kindle book in Amazon's Direct Marketing category, and the #1 "hot new release" in all books (Kindle books and printed books) in the Direct Marketing category.

Here's the short version of what I've learned:

The content curation buzz is getting kind of crazy.

Curated content? It's nothing complicated.

Sure, it can be done elegantly or with a mindless plugin. That's up to you.

You can even read my book, The Content Curation Handbook, and become really, really good at curating content.

But, if you're looking at all the hoopla over "curated content," here's what it is, in seven words:

Kindle? Super-charge it by giving it away?

People love Kindle. I swear, this is better than Beanie Babies were at their peak, for sellers and for collectors.

Kindle can be a dynamic marketing tool for your online business, as well. Include links in your Kindle book, and your readers will follow you -- or at least your recommendations -- almost anywhere.

However, I keep seeing one tragic waste of Kindle as a resource: A lot of people have mistakenly advocated throwing lots of books onto Kindle, with less attention...

Hidden niches and adventures with peas

For many marketers, hidden and untapped niches are practically the Holy Grail.

However, finding them can be a challenge. Nobody can tell you exactly how to find hidden niches because... well, they're hidden. They don't show up when you use most keyword tools.

Gurus use phrases like "drill down" and "think laterally" or "use LSI."

It's not that simple... or is it? I've had to re-think that during the past week.
