How does Micro Niche Finder calculate SOC?

With Market Samurai we can check SEOC (indexed pages in google) and/or SEOTC (phrase in TITLE).
I personally use SEOTC in Market Samurai as a first indication of competition strength. I *think* the SEOC value is totally meaningless since it does say nothing about competition strength "how many sites are indexed in Google for a keyword". It really doesn't matter since competition can still be strong/weak regardless of many sites are indexed.
Micro Niche Finder calculates the SOC value doing a combination of intitle:keyword + inurl:keyword + inanchor:keyword
In other words: It checks whether sites have a keyword in the title AND (!) in the URL AND (!) in the anchor text. It then queries Google for 1000 results and checks the number returned.
