Copy Writing Rules of Thumb

Here are some factoids I've culled from my research:

- You don't need to be a copy writing genius, just know to go to the great sources of heartfelt content such as Amazon reviews and borrow the headlines, sub-headlines (or subtitles) and take note of the BENEFITS a product has to offer.
- It all boils down to humans wanting to avoid pain and gain pleasure in everything they do.
- If you write as if you have great EMPATHY for the reader and his/her problems you'll have huge credibility (translates to sales).
- Remind then every 6 or 7 lines what the benefits are - or about the pain they're trying to avoid. We all have short attention spans.
- If you're writing about something you're passionate about, success will follow. Consciously or subconsciously, most people can tell when you're insincere.
