My Early Days in Internet Marketing

When I first began writing and marketing on the Internet in a serious sense, I decided to conduct an experiment. I decided to find out how web designers subsequently tackled the issue of marketing on behalf of their clients.
I searched Google and Yellow Pages and contacted a number of local website designers. I gave them a fictitious tale about being a plumber wanting to obtain his own business website. All were delighted to provide me with quotes for their services but when I subsequently enquired of each of them how they would then go about marketing my site to ensure it was seen, all gave me virtual blank stares.
This really opened my eyes to the fact that so many people think creating a website is the one and only step in securing a quality web presence. I have since built my business around this failing and recently created the following site to try to educate and help others, naturally without giving away any of my "Secrets!"
