I just want to give members some insight into some of the top ways to get free website traffic and possibly motivate or inspire you with some good ideas to help advance your Internet Marketing business.
Industry statistics indicate that the majority of visitors to a website do not purchase anything. On the average, only one in 100 visitors to a site are likely to make a purchase. This is why it is so important to stay in touch with your visitors: so you can create further opportunities to make sales presentations.
One way to increase your traffic and your sales is to turn your visitors into repeat visitors. A niche-focused newsletter is ideal for the purpose. It keeps you in touch, provides them with valuable information, and encourages them to visit your website regularly. Additionally, as they begin to recognize your knowledge and authority in your niche, they will come to trust you more.
If your newsletter is not too promotional and provides good, helpful information, this could also encourage your visitors to tell others about you, translating into more targeted traffic for your website.
To start a newsletter like this, you can set up a follow-up message sequence in an autoresponder service such as GetResponse or AWeber. Personally, I have been using GetResponse successfully for a number of years. For information about GetResponse, links can be found on my website.
Once you have a series of messages set up in your autoresponder be sure to place a newsletter subscriber box on every page of your website. As a sign-up incentive, it helps to offer visitors something free, such as a free report or eBook.
Your autoresponder newsletter messages can be set to be delivered to your subscribers at specific intervals. You can send messages daily, weekly, monthly, or whatever interval you choose. You don't want to overwhelm your subscribers with too many emails, too often. Sending a new message a few times a week is probably acceptable, as long as the information is relative to the recipient, is clearly helpful, and is not promotional.
Your autoresponder service will also let you send unscheduled messages anytime you wish and to any or all members of your list that you choose. Again, do not do this too often or you will irritate your subscribers. Always try to be respectful.
