Free Traffic Through Forum Marketing
This 'Free Traffic Through Forum Marketing' post is the tenth (and final) post in this particular series here in my Warrior Forum blog. Like the first nine, the intention of this one is to offer you a few highlights of some of the top ways to get free website traffic.
Although this series of posts is wrapping up, I will continue to post other articles here on the theme of getting free traffic to your website. Now to the topic at hand!
Before social media sites became popular, Forum Marketing was the way to “socially network” on the Internet. Through Forum Marketing, you can generate traffic to your website, build backlinks and build brand awareness so that you become recognized as an authority in your market.
The way to effectively market in forums is to focus on providing quality information to forum members, as well as helping them by addressing their questions, offering guidance and generally contributing in a positive way to the forum community.
It will take time to develop your reputation as a contributing member and an authority in your niche, so plan to spend at least an hour each day participating in online business and marketing forums.
Do not promote your products, services or website directly in your forum posts. Leave that kind of advertising and promoting to your forum signature box because forum spammers and aggressive promoters typically get bounced and banned.
When choosing forums to participate in try to focus on established forums, as posts in these forums will be more quickly indexed by the search engines, resulting in more exposure for you and potentially more traffic to your website.
Make certain that your forum profile is optimized as well; include a direct link to your website. This is a great way to generate authority backlinks.
