All a person needs is a computer, connection to the Internet and a few hours each week to devote to their new venture.
Advantages of a home business that is Internet based include:
- the freedom to work on it during hours that best fit your schedule
- the costs to start and run a home based business are minimal for a computer and Internet access
- a wide variety of products, services and delivery can be provided by online suppliers
- marketing training and sales aids such as websites, banners and other advertising materials are often provided by the online supplier
- you might be in business for yourself, but you are not by yourself; information, support and encouragement is easily available online from other home business entrepreneurs through online business forums and social networking sites
- additional sources of sales and marketing training and personal development are readily available from a variety of sources online 24 hours a day, seven days a week
Of course, all success, whether business or personal, must begin with fervent desire, a sense of purpose, clearly defined goals, the ability to focus both attention and effort, and a firm commitment to the end result.
Success does not come from half-hearted efforts. You’ll never get anywhere if you simply wade into the river up to your knees, then rush back to shore frightened by the current or the temperature of the water. Hey GT,
Boy are you ever right. I am constantly surprised at the number of people who don't really want to succeed; they seem to somehow be afraid of their own future success (if that makes any sense to anyone).
I'm also well aware of the vast quantity of folks who are unwilling to work at a home based or small business; especially an online business! Unfortunately many of them give up all too easily when they find out that a business is a business and success takes hard work. They come to realize that they can't become instant overnight millionaires, so they give up.
Being the publisher of the How To Work From Home Ezine though, I've also run across thousands of folks who are quietly working the long hours it quite often takes to achieve a measure of success. These are decent people with dreams of a better future through the vehicle of a small - often home based - business.
Thank you for your listed resources. All WAHers need as many honest and legitimate resources as can be found.
