Blog Spammers - how do you stop them?

Hi guys,

I need your help.

My blog has somehow been targeted by spammers. I get between 50 to 100 spam comments a day that are just strings of linked keywords. I go through and mark each one as spam, but does anyone know how I can actually block those comments from even coming in?

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you're using Wordpress, there is a plugin called WP-Ban that works great for me.

	Hey mate, In wordpress akismet works great! It's already in most installations, all you have to do is register and get a key for it. Easy! Twenty Twenty

Askimet works well for me too. Thanks to Chris also, not heard of WP-Ban before, so I'll check that one out.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your suggestions. I didn't realise that I needed to activate the akismet plugin using an API Key.
