- Do NOT sell! This is a huge mistake that many people make when they begin marketing on social networking sites. Remember that you are there to socialize, not blatantly market your business. You need to be more stealth about how you market your business, so do not start sending your website link out to all of your friends or you risk making them very uncomfortable.
- Do NOT put a bunch of info about your business on your page: Again, it is fine to have a little blurb about what you do, but do not make your MySpace page all about your business. Remember these are your friends and acquaintances so do not try to make them into customers immediately.
- Talk! This might seem like a silly tip, but do not just sign up for an account and never participate. People are there to network WITH you.
