The key points you need to know about your own website and keywords before you start promoting are:
- Your site age (the older it is, the stronger it is)
- How many pages/posts of content you have on your site (the more content you have, the stronger your site)
- How strong your competition is (eg. are you trying to compete with Facebook.com for the keyword “Facebook” – that would be very high competition)
- How many of your site pages/posts have been indexed by Google (make sure Google is actually seeing your content)
- How many of your backlinks have been indexed by Google (make sure Google is counting your backlinks)
If you do not already have that information, then you should get it. If you do not know how to get it, then you can use an SEO/Competition Research package from SENuke Services or from another service to find the answers.
