2 More Sites Sold

I sold two more sites. One of the people wanted me to transfer the WordPress site for them. I never transferred a WP Blog before. I had to do a little research before I could do it.
They had Hostgator. I've never used Hostgator before. My hosting company doesn't have a C-Panel. You'd think that using a hosting company that has a C-Panel would be easier for me. Boy was I wrong! I'm so used to having to to things more "manually." The C-Panel actually hindered me.
I also ran into a snag with exporting and importing the database. With a little bit of thinking, I was able to figure out without too much hassle why exactly the database wasn't importing to the new host properly.
I'm still waiting to hear back from the second buyer. If they do want me to transfer the site for them, I know it will go a lot more smoothly than this one. I cut my C-Panel teeth now.
These sites didn't sell for a lot of money. However, I enjoy making them. That's what really counts.
I'll tell you though when I start selling sites for higher dollar amounts, I'm going to outsource the transfer to someone else.
I'm pretty confident that it took me so long only because I wasn't used to the C-Panel. Still, I'd rather pay a few bucks to outsource it than mess around with it.
As I said, I won't be doing that until later on, when I start making sites that sell for higher dollar amounts.
Then again, who knows, if I keep getting some practice in, I may be able to whip through site transfers like a hot knife goes through butter.
On a side note, I found another possible stream of income. It should only take a few hours per week at most. I can't wait to get into that too. I'll probably start that tonight/tomorrow.
