Honesty in Your Dealings

Today I was told something and knew from the beginning that this was not true. The truth came out a few hours later and I accepted the apology. But it made me think about how honesty in our dealings affects our daily routines and lives.
Here are some recent quotes that I ran across:
If you tell the truth you don’t have to remember anything. ~Mark Twain
No man has a good enough memory to make a successful liar. ~Abraham
Lincoln
A half truth is a whole lie. ~Yiddish Proverb
These quotes are so true but yet we find ourselves telling “white lies” all of the time. These are lies nonetheless.
Honesty is business is a very crucial step for long term success. This can be said of life in general also. A major part of business before the selling can take place is branding. Part of branding is getting your name known to the world around you and to be known as an honest man or woman that runs an honest business. There is nothing better than a good name!
With lies you may get ahead in the world – but you can never go back. ~Russian proverb
We hear of businesses getting ahead all of the time and then a year or two later we hear of that same business (too many times) falling because of lies!!
I don’t have to be super educational here! This is common sense and must be taken into account for any person or any business if you want to be successful in your life and business!
Take honesty for what it is and make sure you are that example for others each and everyday!
