Service and Serving is Very Important in any business and in life in general. This is a crucial step to build character and trust with an audience and to have the end result of “success.”
So What is the Secret to Success?
You can find the secret in the Bible actually and I found this really interesting.
In Mathew 5:41 the Bible says: “And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.” (KJV)
The context of this verse deals with the period in which the Hebrews were in Roman captivity and under Roman rule and in those days a Roman soldier had the lawful right to compel or force the Hebrews to carry his load for 1 mile. The Bible gives that instruction to the Hebrew here to go an extra mile out of love no matter how you are treated or how the soldier acts towards you out of the love you have for your God. This speaks of working for God because of love and not because you are forced to as a child of God and a saved individual.
This is a great principal to apply for someone working as an entrepreneur also. A main part of working for yourself in any industry is the service you provide to your leads, prospects, and customers. (NOT your product!)
Have you ever or do you ever go the extra mile in the service you provide to people?
This shows how interested you are in “them” and not just their money. You will be surprised how many more sales that you get by going the extra mile in how you treat your customers and how you treat their wants and desires above your own.
The Bible is awesome and gives us the principles for every area of our lives. There is a right and wrong way to do everything and I am thankful that we have the “Book of Correctness” and how we should conduct ourselves individually in our lives.
This topic is huge but there is a very simple solution! That’s how it is most of the time but we make things overly complicated.
