Can You Believe Yourself Into Success

Started a thread in the discousison forum today about how people think about success and failure. For some reason, that I still cannot figure out, there are people who think it is important to say that you must fail in order to succeed.
I decided that I would also write about this topic on my site in a post called:
Internet Marketing Success
I like this idea that people can give themselves a big headstart in their online businesses by believing they can succeed instead of thinking that they need to fial before they can ever become successful.
I know lots of other people have made lots of money by selling people the idea that they need to keep trying different products and systems in order to find the one that will help them succeed.
And I know other people are advocates of sticking to one thing until you succeed.
I can see some validity in both those points of view, (that you need to find the thing you really like to do and that you need to stick to one thing) but I honestly do not see any helpful thing coming from thinking that you must fail in order to succeed.
