Is Your Internet Business Stuck In A Single's Bar?
Posted 03-18-2011 at 03:45 PM by Joseph Ratliff
When you go to a single's bar...you go there to meet someone for the first time. Someone who doesn't have a clue who you are, what you do, and doesn't trust you as far as they can throw you.
For your online business, the "single's bar" I'm referencing is the constant sourcing of new leads for your business via squeeze pages, social media tools, seminars, face to face, whatever. Your new prospects don't know you, don't really know what you're selling, and don't trust you at all.
Now, lead-generation is certainly an important part of your business and all...and should certainly be included as one of the processes within your business...but...
Real businesses don't scale and grow if they stay stuck in "single's bar" mode."
You must cultivate, and get to know the customers (read: people) who have crossed the bridge, getting to know about you and your company. And I'm here to tell you, there are not enough internet business owners truly doing that.
Business is, and always will be about people...period.
Will you leave the internet business single's bar already and get to building the community that will build your business?
