Most people have bought products online, and many of us have shelled out money for internet marketing products or courses. In recent years, competition has heated up in the internet marketing products business and trust has become more important than ever, in a business where we almost never see others face to face.
What makes some internet marketers successful and others not even break even on their WSOs? Almost all of it is building up a reputation and trust. Sending out an email to 100,000 people who don't have any idea who you are and have never seen you or bought one of your products might (if you're lucky) get you 5 or 6 sales, but send an email to 100 interested customers who have bought, and enjoyed your products and trust your recommendations can easily get you 10, 20, or even 30 sales if you do it right.
Now that's all fine and dandy, and most of you probably already know that, but are asking yourself, how the heck do I build trust and a "brand" for myself online?
There are many ways, and in this article I hope to help some of you get off on the right foot in your internet marketing journey.
Make videos on YouTube
As mentioned before, one of the main reasons building your own brand and trust around your name is because on the internet, nobody really knows who you are. YouTube is a great way to change that. You can make simple videos, but as long as they are helpful to people and related to the niche that your products target, this is one of the best ways to build trust, especially if your videos have your face behind them.
Be helpful and interact with your (potential) customers
The second way is to interact on forums, blogs, and other communities with potential customers, and be helpful and informative. Right here on the Warrior Forum, there is a wealth of valuable content, and often times, the people who have sold the most copies of their WSO or product are highly active forum members! If people get in the habit of seeing you write helpful informative posts, you will build up your own personal "brand" on the forum and just seeing your name on a WSO will increase people's will to buy dramatically.
Only Promote or Recommend Quality Products
Once you have built up a list of 50, 100, or even 1000 subscribers DON'T go right ahead and start spamming them with expensive affiliate offers and flashy sales text. Try to alternate offers with helpful articles, or free offers every once in a while, but don't give away too much free stuff, or your subscribers will become accustomed to them and never buy products you recommend! Generally, only promote products you know really work, and hopefully ones that you have used before (you can ask for a review copy). Your list of 10,000 people is worthless if all of them have you in the spam folder!
I hope this article helped you and gave you new ideas for building up trust and your own brand in the online world, and please feel free to comment below if you agree, disagree, or have any other suggestions!
