Have You Been Scammed By Online Business Opportunites?

I have spent the last year (in my spare time - I'm a teacher) looking for an online business. I want to retire in the next year and want a better income than I would have from teaching. I am embarrassed by how much money I have wasted in this endeavor. I'm talking more than $30,000. 
Each time, I felt that I was guaranteed to make money. Did I give up? I'm a born optimist and so I didn't. Finally I have found a business opportunity that really works and its only $97. 
(I wish I had found this one first.)
