Using Forum Product Reviews to Find Marketing Gems

It's no secret that at any given time there are more Warriors visiting the Special Offers subforum than any other forum area.
But there is another forum area, much less heavily trafficked, where you can find incredible offers - sometimes better than WSOs.
A recent service I found is called Social Monkee. Here is a detailed Social Monkee Review you can check out later. Basically, a way to get great free backlinks to unlimited web pages.
More interesting right now is this Warrior Forum Social Monkee thread.
It started off with this innocuous post:
"Has anyone tried Social Monkee? Works on Firefox to generate 25 do follow backlinks a day."
And from there it took off.
It has basically turned into an extended Social Monkee sales letter and question and answer thread - with many posts by the service owners.
It cost them nothing. No $40 WSO submission fee. No repeated $40 bumps. Completely free advertising.
For potential buyers perhaps best of all the comments all seem legit. No concerns about shill accounts posting fake reviews to try and make WSO sales.
Bottom line: if you want good information about great products and services, do not simply limit yourself to the WSO subforum. Spend some time in the Product Reviews subforum to find great reviews and products to try out.
Hint: Product owners: set a Google alert for your product name so you can find threads like this where users and potential customers are talking about your product.
