Do You Test Your Pricing

I see product after product after product, whether by Internet marketers or others, that always has the same price.
What - you woke up and inherently knew the most profitable price point?
You do not even need to hassle with split testing to evaluate the overall revenue from different price points. On one of my legal sites I tried over a half dozen price points before knowing which was best. On a php autoresponder I have been running different price points.
Using a tip picked up from an offline direct marketer, I call it a 'marketing test' so people know for sure it is a limited time offer. That can help drive conversions. Make sure you use a real date when the test ends and stick to it, and not one of those fake claims that an offer is only available for three more days (and it is always another three more days!)
