The richest man who ever lived Solomon, wrote in the proverbs about wisdom! He said to get wisdom & knowledge is better than getting silver & gold. proverbs 16:16

The keyword in Proverbs is wisdom "the ability to live life skillfully." Solomon gives instructions to people to deal successfully with the practical affairs of everyday life: how to relate to parents, children, neighbors, governments & God!

The skill of diligence Solomon says will make you rich & the plans (vision) will lead to plenty! Look here at the definition!

Diligent (def) :
adjective
1.constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything: adiligentstudent.
2. done or pursued with persevering attention; painstaking: adiligentsearchofthefiles.

Proverbs 10:4 (NKJV)
4 He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.

Proverbs 21:5 (NKJV)
5 The plans of the diligent
lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.

Proverbs 22:29 (NKJV)
29 Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.

Observations:

He becomes poor—God has ordered, in the course of his providence, that he who will not work shall not eat. And he always blesses the work of the industrious man. One who is constant in his or her efforts to accomplish something, who has persistence in doing with painstaking attention gets rewarded by the Lord himself. God blesses the hand, actions, & even the thoughts of the diligent!

Do you see a man who is diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before unknown men or worthless men (dark or obscure persons; men of no repute! )

In other words it is most likely that a diligent minded man will excel in his constant persistent effort to accomplish his well thought out dreams (goals)!

Vision mapping learned from my mentor Steven K. Scott (read his book" The Richest Man Who Ever Lived") is a great tool for the diligent minded person! In any endeavor we undertake or goal that we pursue, we can experience different outcomes like : Incredible, great, good, okay, poor, terrible or catastrophic! It depends on your wisdom, knowledge, diligence or the lack there of!

Some people who have used this tool for incredible out comes are George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Clara Barton, John D Rockefeller, Henry Ford, Sam Walton, Walt Disney, Bill Gates, Opra Winfrey, and Steven Spielberg just to name a few. Incredible outcomes are rarely ever achieved without diligence!

So how do we apply this tool to our life? Well we already do to some degree or another, but pure incredible diligent results are utilized maybe by 1 in a 1000! The good news is that it is a skill that anyone can easily learn! Solomon new that diligence is not a common trait & that it runs contrary to human nature, common traits of man are we won't it now , as much as we can get, as fast as we can get it & with little effort as possible! We have a natural inclination to follow the path of least resistance!

Without going in to a in debt study on Solomon & diligence throughout the word of God we break down the skill as quoted by Steven K Scott in his book "The Richest Man Who Ever Lived" he says Solomon's type of diligence will cause a man to stand before kings. Diligence is a learned skill that combines creative persistence, a smart-working effort rightly planned & performed in a timely, efficient, & effective manner to attain a result that is pure & of the highest quality of excellence. Solomon says that being truly diligent will bring us priceless rewards while the lack of will bring devastating consequences.

Diligence will gain you sure advantage! The thoughts (plans) of the diligent lead surely to advantage! proverbs 21:5 If we are competing against company's, individuals, circumstances, or simply time, diligence will give us the advantage in greater productivity, achievement, wealth and fulfillment.

Diligence puts you in control. You will experience greater fulfillment the "soul of the diligent is made fat." proverbs13:4.
While others fight to be noticed the diligent are sought out by people in positions of authority! He shall stand before kings! The diligent are satisfied with their work & do not feel the need to follow after the offer of a get-rich-quick scheme.

The diligent experience ever increasing success! Their efforts are profitable proverbs 14:23 "in all labor there is profit but mere talk leads only to poverty!" Applying diligence to any area of your life, marriage, parenting, career brings profitable results.

The consequences of not being diligent? The diligent take all the time they need to plan & prepare, so they can preform with excellence. So if you don't you will always be at an insurmountable disadvantage. You will loose what you gain!
You will be ruled, proverbs 12:24 " the hand of the diligent will rule, but the slack hand will be put to forced labor."
You will crave, Proverbs 13:4 4 "The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat. "

You will lack understanding, Proverbs 28:19 (NKJV)
19 He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, But he who follows frivolity will have poverty enough!

Your wealth & security will dissipate. Proverbs 13:11 11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathers by labor shall increase.

Your efforts will come to nothing. Proverbs 14:23 23 In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty.

How can you bring true diligence in to every area of your life? Steven K Scott says that Solomon gives us (4) steps but there is one giant roadblock we must face daily & that is the path of least resistance our innate laziness!

I highly recommend the book “The Richest Man Who Ever Lived” by Steven K. Scott & become the kind of person that is sought out, who experiences increasing success, and gain the skill of Diligence!

Great post Larry. I hope it will stay up. They are pretty fussy about spiritual (or religious) things. Thank you for writing such truths from the Word. I'll look forward to more good stuff from you.

David, thank you, I am new here and of course not trying to offend anyone & respect for all is my belief system. But as you know as well as I there are physical laws hat govern the physical universe there are laws of living (spiritual) not religious that are just as sure! Solomon showed us the laws of prosperity! He was the Richest man who has ever lived.

example: In 1929, The Illinois Society of Architects did a meticulous study of the temple built by Solomon some 3000 years ago. Even though the research was done almos 82 years ago they placed a value on the temple at $87 Billion Dollars in 1929's economy! If you figure a 5% inflation rate annualy the temple would be worth $749 Billion in today economy. Solomon had houses, 4000 stables & horses, & servants all estimated at 3 times the worth of the temple alone! He is clearly the richest man who has ever lived!

It appears to me that the Warrior forum is about socializing with people that are mostly interested in making a living on the internet! Or at least supplementing their income as well as the social aspect! Solomon's proverbs teach us spiritual laws that work. Yes even if you do not know God!

My mentor the one that has educated me on some of these principals that Solomon teaches explained it to me like this! In 1976 he graudated from college with honors & in the first 6 years he had 9 jobs making below the average wage owner. He went from $18,000 annually to $600,000 per month all folowing the advice of Solomon in the ancient old testament book of Proverbs! I have been studying a chapter per day for the last 2.5 years. Today is the 7th so I focused on the 7th chapter with pen & journal to get what was illuminated to me this day!

Yes I am a spiritual man with many spiritual experiences that no one can take from me! As I perceive you are! But one thing I am not is religious! So are truths allowed on this forum they should be I hope! We will all better from it, I wonder what others think?
