As many of you are aware, I was mentored by Clayton Makepeace. And lately I've received quite a few e-mails asking me if I also take on copy cubs.

Unfortunately, the answer is: "Not at this time."

I do plan to have a copy cub system in place by next year. And at that time, I'll screen potential copy cubs by reviewing their resumes/CVs, samples, and/or having them complete a sample assignment.

In the meantime, I do offer a few options for the aspiring...

I sometimes pass opportunities along to other copywriters.

For instance, right now I have a client who's looking for a third copywriter. He's looking for someone with proven copywriting skills and experience in the financial/investment niche.

I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I’m a "swipe file" enthusiast. I must have well over a hundred physical swipes in my file cabinet and scattered around my office. Plus hundreds – maybe even thousands – of electronic ones on my computer.

And I’m always adding to my collection.
