Blog Carnivals - good for traffic

A Blog Carnival is is a collection of blog posts all written around a specified topic. The topic can change each time the Carnival is published but the overall theme stays the same.
The host is the person who sorts out all the posts submitted, accepting and rejecting as they see fit. Once they have all the posts they want to include in the Carnival they create a page that summerises the posts and lists the links to all the individual posts. This drives traffic to the independent Blogs that have submitted posts to the Carnival.
The advantage is that everyone gets increased traffic, and the reader visits blogs that have posts written about the topic they are interested in.
I have just published my very first Blog Carnival - Journey To Success. You can check out the lead page here: http://thejohnthornhillfanclub.com and click through to the individual posts submitted.
If you want to enter a Blog Carnival you don't have to do anything other than write a blog post, which you would do anyway. Choose a Carnival that is working around your own niche and submit a post. Go to http://blogcarnivals.com and choose a Carnival to enter. There is a simple form to fill in to submit your post.
Enjoy the journey.
