Warrior Hamster Kings Run Wild in Tokyo

One benefit of 'going public' with your real name and photo here is that other warriors are more likely to form a favourable impression of you over time.
After unmasking myself and then posting on a few threads over Xmas, Kevin Riley kindly invited me to come along to a Japan Warriors meet up in Tokyo yesterday.

The rendezvous was at Tokyo station around noon as most of the others were coming via Shinkansen bullet train. Embarrassingly for me (as I actually live in Tokyo!) I still managed to get lost at Tokyo station (it has tons of exits, mazes of underground mini-malls and hordes of people always in a hurry) - but they didn't hold that against me (this time...)
After a short train transit to the hotel (though one person who shall remain nameless took a taxi) we relaxed over a light lunch and then headed by train to Shibuya - and if there's one thing I love most about Tokyo, it's the incredible train system. No car required.
As well as Kevin and Craig D'Sourcy and John Allen, a number of other warriors came along - sorry guys, don't recall your full names but I know one of you has a black Amex card ;-)
Shibuya is a young and trendy place - I'm usually the oldest one there but not this time, thanks to senior citizen Kevin! From what I recall, we made 4 O'clock happy hour at TGIF (where 'The Game' had no visible impact on our Asian-American waitress from Hawaii), then moved to an Irish-themed pub (The Hub) before gracing an empty, ear-splitting, hip-hop club with our brief custom.

Dinner at an Italian restaurant was the highlight of the evening and an opportunity to hear successful marketers swap stories, joke around and enjoy each other's company.
I'd certainly recommend getting away from the computer screen if you have any opportunity to meet up with folks who are more successful than you - that old 'saw' about your net income being the average of the 5 people you know best may well be true. It certainly opened my eyes as to what's possible.
Now if you're only here for the hamster stories - well, to cut a long story short he was not trampled at Shibuya crossing and is now safely back in his rightful owner's breast pocket, pining for some real Osaka okonomiyaki.
