Annoying way to deliver a free product

Hey Warriors.
This post is maybe a bit pointless.
I just want to describe my experience of getting a free product today.
I received an email today from Cody Moya.
Honestly, I don't usually read his emails, because I haven't been happy with the products I purchased from him in the past:
Co-reg email list (200 000 contacts) with zero response rate.
ListCube lifetime diamond membership, where I can send email to 20 000 people every second day.
At best I have received 10 clicks from the mailings.
I think most listcube emails ends up in the spam folder, and those who reach the inbox does very seldom get read.
This email was in the spam folder of one of my low priority email adresses.
But I had signed up for some free information and was looking for the confirmation email.
The title was:
"Mathias, Free...Articles For Newbies (3 hours left)"
Don't know why I clicked it.
It was a hort email that said i could get "Articles For
Newbies" with Master Resell Rights for FREEE.
For the next three hours.
With a special coupon code.
I click the link.
The sales page look decent. With a funny comics book character pulling his hair because he thinks it's so hard to write articles.
You'll get 5 videos for $97 that talks about writing articles.
Oh, but if you enter the code you get it for FREEE.
I enter code.
I get a PayPal subscription for $97 per month.
But it's free for 30 days and it's easy to unsubscribe.

I access the PLW members area and unsubscribe before I forget, and I ignore all the links in there to a bunch of related products I can buy.
Conclusion:
I got the product for free as promised.
But the product wasn't exactly revolutionary, and all the one time offers I had to wade through to get to it made me very annoyed and it will be a while before I read Cody's emails again.
