Richard Kaulfers, a "virtual-friend" of mine from the The Internet Marketing Club professional network for web marketers, recently posted a video on Digital Swiping for Copy-writing, Ad copy, Headline writing, etc...
Richard discusses some pretty basic, but very useful tactics for resourceful copy-writing. One of the general lessons that came out of this piece for me, is the limitless space of information/resource we know as the internet. This tactic of Digital Swiping is more than just internet marketing methodology, it's essentially a viable approach in nearly any facet of e-business, I mean really, its something that stretches beyond the internet itself and to the respective cores of utility and innovation as we have come to know them. The reason governments keep their military secrets "classified" is because "a good idea doesn't give a damn about who has it", and normally those that have it, excel!
In this sense, copy-writing is a microcosmic sample of how we can learn from what others are successfully doing on the internet; marketing or otherwise. Whether you are looking for pointers on good Headline writing practices, or how to generally entice your readers with well worded phrases throughout your ad copy, and/or just where to look for them, and how to best "swipe" them up!
Some good information on how to write Headlines can be found in How to Write Headlines That Work | Copyblogger Another great resource is: Copywriting Blog - Fresh copywriting tactics, tips and techniques for copywriters. No I am not an affiliate tying to make a buck, from time to time I like to relay honest wholesome info to people!
