Ad-Non-Sense

Posted 09-03-2008 at 04:05 AM by Monetize

If you've been online for any length of time,
then you are aware that Google's AdSense
is one of the quickest and easiest ways to
monetize your websites, forums and blogs.

Supposedly.

Until you receive the notorious Google slap
for having content that doesn't meet Google
approval, posting your AdSense too close to
a pic, not having enough original material,
having too much, not enough pages, no
privacy statement, haven't confirmed your
address lately, and any number of other
dimwitted reasons that Google deems as
inapppropriate.

The problem is, half the time you're slapped,
Google staff never even bothers to tell you
what you've done wrong. And in case you
didn't know, they don't send you what you
have coming in case they owe you any $$$.

So why not avoid the aggravation and make
your own text ads? These ads can link to
your other websites, your affiliate offers,
your ebooks, or wherever you like.

If you're too lazy to do that, then you could
enroll in any number of other text ad programs
that aren't half as strict as Google.

This way, you avoid the dreaded Google
slap, plus all the uncertainties that placing
AdSense on your websites entails.
