Orange Fonts on Magenta Backgrounds (And Other Website Faux Pas)

The wonderful thing about the internet is that
you’re free to do whatever you want, as long
as you don’t break any laws. This means that
you can design and setup your websites any
way your heart desires.
If you prefer crazy colors, over-sized fonts,
whacky layouts, unattractive graphics, fuzzy
images, or whatever comes to mind – you can
have it.
But why would you? Why clutter up your sites
with so much unrelated garbage that the first
instinct of your visitor is to hit the back button
or get offline completely.
Why would you use color combinations that
make it impossible for people to read your
content?
Why have dozens of outgoing links to this,
that and the other place ensuring that your
traffic will depart and never return?
Think about it. Why not review your website
with an objective eye (or ask your best friend
to have a look) and decide if your business
could be improved if you gave it an overhaul.
Have a nice day
