Technology goes too fast?!

For readers over 25 or 30 years old, have you ever think about if we never have internet, 3G, computer, mobile phone, text messages, email system, video conferencing equipment, etc, etc? If you can choose, would you rather have these products develop, or not?!
Companies are now marketing their products or services through the above links quickly and quite efficiently. In the old days (actually, not too longer ago for me,) we have the "do-not-call list" setup. Next, we have to set up "SPAM" or "JUNK" filter in our email systems. Since not everybody is following the rules, we need anti-virus and spyware programs to prevent "worms," virus, and "intruder"... With so many things going on at the same time, I see people never stop for a rest...
For myself, a good-looking phone with a build-in 2M camera is good enough for me. I don't want 3G, internet service, email checking... However, whenever I told my friends about this idea, they seem can't believe their lives without these "toys."
