Article Marketing: How to determine good or bad?

Let me repeat again, I am not a guru, I am just a beginner. I am still looking around, spending $$$ on things I am not supposed to spend on. I am working hard and waiting for the day I success.
One of the topics of internet marketing is Article Marketing. I believe it requires writting each day, if possible. I assume Article Marketing is related to one's SEO writing skill. Although I took a 6 weeks SEO class before, I do not have time to speak to the instructor face-to-face.
Well, I received an A in the class, but I never know how good or bad I am when comparing to the professional one.
