2011 Design Trends - Photographic Backgrounds

Today our adventure into 2011′s design trends we look for the common Photographic Backgrounds.
Photographic Backgrounds have featured in websites for many years, this didn’t work well as file sizes were usually to high for the users connection meaning people had consumed the content before the file was displayed. Sites were also very slow to use, due to the way the page was rendered the picture would hog memory and the browser suffered. Designers moved away from this to more repetitive and optimised backgrounds for there designs.
With the advent of more progressive web technologies and modern browsers designers are moving back to emulate inspired book and magazine layouts for there cutting edge sites.
