I have a 'honey hole' that's about 9 miles due West of my favorite little island. My honey hole has good bottom, and I'm guaranteed to score every time I drop a line.

If you are a fisherman, you may have your own 'honey hole,' but if you're a marketer who hasn't found your 'honey hole' yet, pay close attention because I'm about to tell you something that no one else ever seems to be talking about...

Overcoming The Google Farmer Update

I think it is clear by this point that Internet Marketing has pretty much taken it on the chin. With the devaluing of "content farm" content (I think we all know what content farms are now...basically content directories like article directories), many webmasters have seen substantial drops in SERP rankings as well as revenue. No where has this been more evident than some of the top article directories as they are reporting significant drops in organic search traffic.

Content farms and such....

So Goog tried unsuccessfully to tamp down on the content farmers like Demand Media and eHow. They did however get rid of one nuisance in Mahalo. This post by Aaron Wall at SEO Book pretty much sums up the situation http://www.seobook.com/google-kills-ehows-competitors
The interesting part about this is that in a weird way Goog needs content on all subjects so that it can offer a full index. Even if that content is low quality it's better than nothing. To avoid the "share cropper"...

If one or more of your posts have disappeared, here are the most likely reasons:

1. Violated one or more rules. This is the one you most want to avoid.

2. Tons of pointless one-liners. Sorry, folks, but if you come in as a new member and start posting a ton of one- or two-liners, they're going to end up being deleted. If you're new and your post count dropped a lot, fast, that's almost always the reason.

Same with posting to a lot of old threads. One member...
