Joint Ventures That Work For Everyone

In order to have a successful Joint Venture, you need to have an idea or concept that will will for all involved, that means yourself, your partner in the Joint Venture and all your customers and clients.

How do you accomplish that? It's all in the planning. The Joint Venture should not only increase your profit but also increase the visibility of your shop and market share. Both parties should be able to use each others resources to their advantage and also increase the value and quality of your products to the customers.

When you First plan to enter into a Joint Venture Agreement, who do you pick? You need to make sure that you can both work together and agree in all the terms. This way less problems can arise if everything is cleared up and decided in advance such as where main transactions will take place, who is in charge or management, who gets to make major decisions or how the rules will be implement. It is especially very important for international Joint Ventures as laws and cultures are different. Don't forget that you may be the bosses, but your people must be able to work professionally with the other team.

Who is your Target Market? If you ant to be successful then you need to know who you are attracting together. For some reason will you focus more on only one partners customers? Does the product cater more to their customers rather than yours? Are you going to focus on new customers rather than existing ones? Answers to these questions will make it easier for you to focus on what needs to be taken care of and in deciding how things will be done.

Before entering on a Joint Venture, both parties should check out on each other. You'll be associating your name with someone else's and you need to be sure that their credibility it worth the association. Referrals by people you trust are preferred in Joint Ventures as you both are putting your reputations on the line for each other. Having someone of common ground gives you more peace of mind.

Lastly, start your Joint Venture with a bang! An event or a new product, this is where you tell people about what has happened. Offer your new products at a discounted price so you get people to take the first step, the trying. Once people have tried it, and approve, then you have your customers.
