Joint Ventures - The Practical Way to Go!

Posted 01-25-2009 at 06:54 PM by Rivers Corbett

Practicality is now they key to success. You have to be practical in every aspect of your business now a days. It's not like in the past being practical was not important, it's just that the times have changed now and this is the way things have to flow. Before we could try new things, kind of learn from our mistakes, take trial and error into consideration. Now, that's not an option! It's hard opening up a business and even harder to maintain. We have no more room left for mistakes.

So why then should you try a Joint Venture then if it's something that you've never done before?because it can be as practical or even more practical as a matter of fact, compared to anything else you may be thinking of. You need to be creative, and joint Ventures are just that. You need to promote business and your products in the most practical cost efficient method possible. Joint ventures again will do just that. Sure there are the usual ways of doing things like advertising, and don't get me wrong, advertising is great, but for far does it take you? Do you get what you spent back? Do you get more? If you spend the same amount you get back on advertising, then what did all that work get you? Nobody likes running around in circles, except maybe our dogs, so take a step forward with joint Ventures.

Joint Ventures don't have to be complicated, they can occur in the simplest of methods. Lets take website links into consideration. Exchanging links on your websites could get you lots more in return compared to one measly newspaper add. Sending out newsletters, add your new JV partner in yours and he do the same for you, you're audience just doubled! Something as simple as a flyer or note, picture on the counter top of your JV partners shop will give you more exposure, and that's something we can always do with more of.

Make an agreement with the local supermarket to include your information in their bills, add a flyer in every bag, include you in their mailing, place your logo wherever it is possible. Just be creative and get ideas from others. You can share spaces in fairs or trade shows, join each other in efforts for a better cause like a charity or a fund raiser. The key here is how you associate your business with theirs. You need to see how people will need you after coming from them. If you have a CD rental shop, then advertising with a n electronics shop is a great idea. People there need movies to watch on their TV's, with their players, so when they see your add they'll know where to get what they need next.

Just make sure that there's a connection, so this way both businesses get what they want. It beats doing things on your own and hoping for the best. Everyone has a future, it's up to you how you grab it!

Here's to your success!

This is article about joint ventures really stuck home. Through extensive research regarding the top internet marketers a theme was present in all of them, they have strategic partners and they assist each other to build up their businesses making their combined network stronger. My door is always open to strategic partners and joint ventures. Thanks!

    Hi Rivers,
I Enjoyed your articles... your zeal shows through.
I have heard of JV swapping email lists and was wondering if you knew about permission opt in's rules? Does a customer who gives a permission email to one guy then it gets traded to another marketer is that customer rights been violated in any way? Or is it OK because the list has not been sold as most disclaimers say?

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks
