Today I am going to tell you everything you need to know about writing BULLET POINTS in sales letters in just a couple of minutes.
Let's get real... everyone hates work. Especially when that work is lots and lots of writing. Lucky for you, even as a copywriter, you don't need to write lots and lots... because people hate to read!
When you write copy, you want your letter to be as easy to read as possible. So you need to stay away from fancy words and long sentences. Headlines, subheadlines, and bullet points... are pretty much all you need. Get people scrolling from that headline all the way down to the order button.
Describe a benefit for 2 to 3 sentences. Each sentence contains EXACTLY seven words... no more, no less. This forces you to write, and rewrite, and rewrite your bullet point until you say something real (no B.S.) in very few words.
I have a bottle of water on my desk and I want to tell you how clean, how delicious, and how healthy that bottle of water is. Guess what, I've got myself three bullet points right there... because I know I can't describe all those things in just seven words.
Clean bullet: How Clean is Your FDA-Approved Bottled Water? Penta Water is hundreds of times cleaner. Our 13-step verification process makes it possible!
Delicious bullet: Refreshing, purified Penta water is 100% tasteless. You'll feel as if you're drinking air...
Healthy bullet: Additive-free water hydrates and improves your skin. Feel better, lose weight, improve your concentration!
Do not worry if some of those seven-word sentences look stupid... you can always edit and combine sentences later.
The point is that when you limit yourself to exactly 7 words, you take extra care to word every bullet point. It also forces you to do research so you can take a fact and present it in just a few words.
Write one 2-3 sentence bullet point every hour. Just take a couple of minutes out of each hour to do it. You can write bullet points for a random headline you picked out of some ads or from one of your previous headlines... it does not matter. We are just improving your copywriting.
Attention copywriters: Consistently write satisfactory sales letters that are selling within a matter of hours... GUARANTEED! http://www.fastfoodcopywriting.com
