Long Term Traffic

With so many ways of building traffic to your website, one seems to be over looked or dismissed and that is forum traffic.
I'm not saying to spam every form you can find with your links, that won't last long, if it does at all. You'll be stopped pretty quickly.
I don't think some marketers realize how forum traffic can be long term.
Think about it, when you post on a forum, your post will petty much always be there, unless you get yourself banned, which I know you won't, right?
While the Warrior forum might move pretty quick and posts drop off the front page pretty quick, your post could still be found by a forum member searching, and old threads do get brought up again.
There are also many forums that do not move as fast and your posts show for a long time, almost like endless traffic.
Point is, while you might not see big returns right up front when it comes to forum traffic, what if you had numerous posts, what they could send you over time?

So, if your one of those lurkers that never posts.. better get to it!
