How To Make Favicons (Website Icons)

Posted 01-22-2009 at 08:43 AM by Rosie Cottis

I have just posted step by step instructions on my main IM blog for making favicons (including transparent favicons).

These are the tiny logos next to the website titles on the tabs or bookmarks of your browser that more and more websites have these days.

If you are not sure what I mean, go to the link below and you should see the favicon, a tiny version of my photo in the address bar of your browser.

Favicons are very easy to create and you don't even need to download any software. They are becoming so popular that it is getting to the point where visitors start to notice if they are missing, and your credibility suffers if you don't have one.

So they definitely add to the perceived professionalism and branding of your site and increase your visitors' trust in your site. That means your visitors will also have more trust in your products or product recommendations, so you can make more sales.

Full instructions are here:

Check it out now and give it a try - it's a very quick and easy way to boost the image of your site.
