Checking the forum I see a lot of threads of people who are using it as a blog, to record their progress in their endeavours. I have decided to keep track myself, using this blog instead.

I will use it to record, firstly, my progress with my first website Free Software for Marketing

My original plan was to use this as a one stop shop for tutorials on software like Openoffice, Gimp, Inkscape, Google Sketchup and other little wonders out there that could be used for marketing...

As predicted yesterday, the early upward movement happened in both the FTSE and the Dow Jones and I turned a profit from both.

At first I thought I would tell you about how I actually did it wrong, how I could have made more money and the lessons learned during the trades but, the fact of the matter is I set one of them up and went for my morning exercise to return two hundred and three pounds richer an hour later ( not a bad hourly wage) and I setup my second trade ( for the Dow Jones)...

It happens in less than three hours now. The opening of the London Stock Market. Even though at the moment I am not too focused on stocks this is something I want to check once again.

You see, apparently big investment firms dump their non strategic stocks at the end of the year to clear their balance sheets (tax and planning implications I suppose, not too versed on the technicalities of the whole thing). They then take positions again at the beginning of the year. What this means...

They happen more often than not, specially when you are starting out. Fortunately you can also make progress on slow days even if it doesn´t look as such. Today, after my first exercise session of the year ( as planned some time ago) and feeling like a million dollar guy while cooking for six, I did a couple of searches for a friend that is not computer savvy. They were about the differences between DVD+RW and DVD-RW (first one) and a dvd recorder he is interested in (Samsung sh 893).

But I digress.

Creative writing, while being something I thoroughly enjoy on a personal level, is definitely not what I want to use this blog for. I want to use it to track my own progress in setting up shop as an internet based business, or any other possible permutation that can come out from the original project of setting up an internet business.
