MayDay, we're going down! (or not)

Posted 06-15-2010 at 11:40 PM by Splinterbiz

I must say,

The hysteria caused by the recent "omgwtftheskyisfalling" update from Google is entertaining at best, but:

I feel sorry for those, who've lost their PR and/or their AdSense Publisher account without having done anything wrong. On the other hand, many bluefart-publishers lost their AdSense income as well, and they had it coming.

My AdSense Publisher account is still there, and I have removed the AdSense ads from those of my domains attracting abysmal traffic. But I am also preparing myself for the day when I get the message that I've been banned. They did it with my AdWords account for promoting a MLM program (the ban message reached me several months later).

Did you know that soldiers perform better in combat when they have come to terms with the fact that they are basically already dead?

If they (Google) ban your account, no matter if your AdSense-fueled website and/or blogs contain relevant and high quality content, they do not deserve your efforts anyway. Send them a huge cactus in the mail with a note saying something like "Congratulations on your free sample of our unique office chair with built-in acupuncture, have a seat!"

The MayDay update was not all bad news; now everyday Internet users can easily find relevant information, at least until the bluefarts have conquered the "new Google algorithms" and start exploiting the heck out of it.

And believe me: bluefarts are approaching the recent MayDay update's secrets with impeccable enthusiasm. The ironic part being when one of them proudly exclaimed: "I've figured it out! See, we must write relevant content, now!".

Was it bluefarts or brainfarts?
