My blog where I say what's on my mind. My hope is that it will make some people think. For the rest...hopefully it wasn't a waste of 5 minutes of their time.

What Are The Advantages Of A Business In A Box?
Posted 11-06-2008 at 10:18 AM by Steven Wagenheim
I'm going to start this blog post with a
disclaimer. It is always going to be better to
sell something that is unique. Okay, having
said that, what are the advantages of having
a business in a box...if any at all?
Well, let's start out with the most obvious one.
Less work for you to do. Now naturally, this is
going to depend a lot on what comes in this
business in a box. So the first thing we need to
do is go over some basic things that you might
want to be included.
To start with, a product or service to sell would
be nice. That certainly saves a lot of time in
having to create a product yourself. Product
creation can take days or even weeks
depending on how much work you want to
put into it. I mean I seriously doubt that
John Reese's Traffic Secrets 2 was put
together in a day.
You're probably also going to want to have a
sales page to go along with that product. Do
you have any idea how much it could cost
to have salescopy written for you? A sales
page alone can save you thousands of
dollars in expense.
A squeeze page to collect opt ins would also
be a nice addition. Building your list is one
of the most important things you can do. A
carefully made squeeze page to match the
product being sold would be a great asset.
While we're on the subject of building that
list, you really do need something to give
away to them, so a free report would also
be a nice touch. This could also save you a
lot of time and expense.
Let's not forget an autoresponder series to
send out to your list in order to keep them
interested in your product. Most prospects
will need to see your sales page at least 7
times before they buy from you. So an
informative AR series is very helpful.
Some articles to put on your site would also
be a nice thing to have. Heck, for that
matter, an authority site would also be a
nice thing...one with quite a few pages to it.
Yeah, all this stuff would be great.
Or would it?
Lots of people say to me, "Steve, so what if
you have all this stuff? If 1,000 other people
have the same stuff, what good is it? Aren't
I competing with all these people?"
Well, this is where the scarcity mindset kicks
in and why so many people fail online.
So what if all those people have the same
business in a box?
Ever hear of affiliate marketing?
Marketers make fortunes selling affiliate
products...products that are being sold by
thousands of other people. Nobody complains
about affiliate marketing. Well, they do, but
those complaints are just as baseless. I've
been doing affiliate marketing for over 5
years and I'm very successful at it.
Having a product to sell, even if other people
are selling the same product, is always an
advantage over selling an affiliate product.
You get to set your own price and you get
to keep all the profits, unlike affiliate
marketing where you only get a percentage
of each sale.
Is a business in a box solution for everybody?
No, it's not. Why?
Well, unlike affiliate marketing, there is more
work involved. For one thing, you have to
upload everything to your own server and
you have to get your own payment processor.
Those headaches are not for everybody.
But, if you want to get a head start on your
business and take a few shortcuts, a
business in a box solution (some people call
it PLR) is a great way to get started.
If you're interested, I have my own business
in a box solution in my signature. Like my
other products, it is of the highest quality.
I've thrown everything into it but the kitchen
sink. When you check out the sales page,
you can see what I've included, and for a
very reasonable price.
Is a business in a box solution for you?
Only you can answer that question.
