To look for fresh ideas for your next best seller, you don't have to reinvent the wheel - what you need to do is look for unique ways to make it roll better.

I'm going to share five simple strategies that will help you with product creation.

1. Be alert and write down your ideas

This is always the most important step. Make it a habit to always record down every new idea that pops up in your head.

You can do your analysis and planning later. This will give you a workable list of new products to present to your target customers.

2. Conduct survey

Observe your current subscribers and customer base. Which sub niche have the most subscribers or customers? (ie: affiliate marketing, seo or list building - just to name a few if you're in the I.M. niche).

Come up with a simple online survey and ask them. You can offer a freebie (free report, video or discount coupon) for those who take part.

3. Change the format of your current product

You can turn your digital products into physical form, ie: dvd tutorial, audio CD, seminar, workshop or even one to one coaching program.

Some people prefer to listen to CD while driving can purchase your CD series, and for those who want personal attention can sign up for your coaching.

By doing this, you're expanding your market reach without creating new content.

4. "Spy" on your competition

You need to set a fix schedule to visit your competitor's website and social media on a regular basis.

Look at their customers' feedback, what's their likes and dislikes and see how that can apply to your own business. If you found out certain topic that sells very well, you can create similar product and sell it to your customers.

5. Make use of social media

Spend some time (maybe one hour per day) to communicate with your prospects and find out what they would like to see as your next big idea.

Conclusion: good strategies don't work if you don't take action. My advise is choose one of the strategies above and start applying it.

This is good stuff. Probably the best idea is to spy on the competition and see what is already selling, and selling well.

A lot of people make the big mistake of creating their product first before finding a market that will buy it. And it just collects dust.

Another good tip is to just get a MVP out. A "minimum viable product" or basically a prototype without the bells and whistles.

When you sell it, your ask your customers what THEY think. After all, they're the ones paying for it!

    Thanks for the blog post!
