Okay this one is probably the best known method for all the regulars at Warrior Forum. For the uninitiated, you can earn money by restricting access to most content on your website to paid users only. Perhaps you have a preview section for visitors, but if they want to read the rest of the article or view larger pictures or drill down to see detailed information, for example, they need to signup and possibly pay you a membership fee immediately....

In a sense, alliance income could come to you as indirect revenue. What I mean is you can offset certain expenses involved in setting up your website by asking a company to help you in exchange for free advertising.

Consider for a moment all of the unique parts of your website, or your blog. Each one of these areas can be given special treatment by asking a company to "sponsor" it by paying you a flat fee.

Advertising income

The original idea was simply to sell banner ad space on your website. "Give me $20 a month to display your 468x60 graphic." But that was last century and you pretty much did everything yourself.

  • tracking clicks, views
  • visitor counts, unique IP
  • contacting new advertisers

  • processing payments and handling refunds
