GREAT EXPECTATIONS?

Today I met with a potential supplier of goods/services for a new venture for the business.

It was my first interaction with the company and to be honest I hadn't heard of them before but I had been recommended to give them a try.

What were my expectations?
I expected whomever walked into my office would be completely up to speed on all areas of their offering and in a position to answer my questions - including the key one - COST?

To Lie, Or Not To Lie. That's One Helluva Question.

Recently, a young warrior asked if it was unethical to lie in his sales copy. The knee-jerk reaction is, of course, it's unethical. Don't do it!

The post and it's topic was brought up last night at LMC, and it was quite surprising that it kept us busy for over an hour.

Seems it's not so black and white after all.

OK, it’s not the first time, and I guess it won’t be the last. Some friggin’ slug has gone and swiped a whole bunch of text from one of my articles and used it as his own – incredible!

And guess who gets penalised for it? Me!

This was from an article that I published back in ’04 / ’05 (not sure when) and I’d pretty much lost track of it until recently. When I found it again I thought OK, time to get this up in some of the article...

The Online Sales Letter

When you have an online business you do not have the perks of selling your product in person. Therefore, your words are very important; they make or break a sale. Writing up a sales letter means getting into the minds of your readers. You should know who your customer base is, what age group, gender, etc. You need to use psychology and tactics that will draw your readers to buy immediately.
